From October 18th to 19th, 2025, Wenzhou Ouhai Optical Co., Ltd. organized middle and senior management cadres to conduct a 140KM “Crossing Mountains and Seas, Relay Long-Distance Run” from Taishun to Ouhai Optical. The long-distance run started from Taishun Yilian Kaiyuan Hotel, proceeding along Fucha Line, Fentai Line, Jinglan Line, and National Highway 104, passing through Fen Shui Pass, Cangnan County, Pingyang County, Feiyunjiang Bridge, Ruian City, Tangxia Town, and Longzhou Park, with the finish line at “Wenzhou Ouhai Optical Co., Ltd.” The relay long-distance run was divided into nine teams (one guest team, seven Ouhai management teams, and one special training class team), with five members per team, adopting a team relay format of five people per vehicle with self-navigation and self-supply.

At 6 a.m., team members gathered at the starting point, “Taishun Yilian Kaiyuan Hotel.” At 6:45 a.m., under the command of General Manager Wang Fenghua, the first runners of each team set off in full gear. Team members followed the predetermined tactics and the planned route to begin their 140-kilometer journey. The teammates in the vehicles cheered for the runners, with guidance and supply work properly implemented.

After a long journey of 14 hours, the first group of team members, Cheng Guanmeng, Hao Zhenyan, Chen Yongjiang, Lai Zhen, and Huang Kaijian, arrived at the finish line at 8:45 p.m. At 8:50 p.m., the second group (guest team), including General Manager Wang Fenghua and four guests, reached the finish line. At 9:50 p.m., the third group, Xiao Wei, Ni Chuguang, Wang Xun, Ruan Shengfei, and Yang Danna, arrived at the finish line. At 10:02 p.m., the fourth group, Zhang Rui, Rui Daojun, Zhang Ji Yong, He Shendong, and Zeng Mei, reached the finish line. After 17 hours and 45 minutes, by 12:30 a.m., all teams successively arrived at the finish line, conquering the challenging 140-kilometer distance.

At 1 a.m. on October 19th, before the award ceremony, General Manager Wang Fenghua invited members who were participating in the company’s team sports activities for the first time, such as Ni Chuguang and Yang Danna, to share their feelings. Subsequently, General Manager Wang Fenghua presented medals to all the members of the Ouhai management team who completed the 140 kilometers. During the award ceremony, representatives from each team delivered speeches sharing their insights.

Finally, General Manager Wang Fenghua summarized the event as follows:
I. The combination of professionalism and tactics is the key to victory. Since successfully completing the “168 Golden Coastline” 140-kilometer relay challenge last year, our team has embarked on this journey once again this year. For each relay run, I meticulously organize a team to inspire everyone’s fighting spirit. I am truly proud of each member this time, as most of them ran more kilometers than I did. In fact, the difficulty of a relay race is no less than that of a marathon. From a professional perspective, shortening the distance between handover points is a more scientific approach. When the human body is in a state of high-intensity exercise, lactic acid accumulates, leading to fatigue and heaviness, which makes it difficult for athletes to run in subsequent relays. The tactics adopted by the Fifth Business Department were very correct, which fully proves that external motivation and one’s own professionalism are crucial for success.
II. The power of the team makes us more resilient. For a team, the key lies in building trust, issuing challenges, and providing motivation. I have full confidence in our team because we have successfully organized cycling, half-marathon, and long-distance running events. Everyone has broken through their limits and completed challenges time and time again. Although there may be some minor setbacks along the way, we have always successfully overcome them. The relay long-distance run, as a team activity, is inherently competitive. In this competition, we had nine teams participating. During the long race, one team would inevitably fall behind temporarily. However, what is most important is that everyone persevered to the finish line with tenacious willpower. Even the last team to reach the destination demonstrated the team’s strong resilience. Here, I sincerely thank the team. It is you who have shown me the unlimited potential and unyielding spirit of our team time and time again.
III. Dare to draw the sword in the face of uncertainty. As a team collective event, the 140-kilometer relay run is long and arduous. Each team has slightly different strengths, and the physical conditions of the members vary. Moreover, the journey is filled with various uncertainties and challenges, which are the unique charms of the relay run. In fact, both work and life are full of uncertainties and challenges. As the saying goes, “A boat against the current must forge ahead or else it will drift backward.” We must dare to draw the sword, bravely face challenges, and calmly confront uncertainties. It is these uncertainties and challenges that give the relay run its profound significance and value.

After the award ceremony, all participants and logistics support staff took a group photo as a memento. The 2025 Wenzhou Ouhai Optical Co., Ltd. 140KM “Crossing Mountains and Seas, Relay Long-Distance Run” came to a successful conclusion with everyone shouting the inspiring slogan “The Red Hare runs a thousand miles, invincible in all directions.”
