At the beginning of the ceremony, all participants sang the "OuHai Song" together. Subsequently, Mr. Wang Fenghua, the Dean, delivered a speech. In his speech, Dean Wang Fenghua elaborated on three aspects:

I. True Knowledge

Qihang Academy is dedicated to cultivating adults. The standard for adults is to possess genuine knowledge and practical skills. Each of us should hold ourselves to this standard of "genuine knowledge and practical skills." The starting point of learning is "perplexity," that is, confusion and doubt. We should approach learning with questions in mind. Among these, humility and an empty cup mindset are crucial. Without humility and doubt, it is like a cup already filled with water, unable to absorb new knowledge. Existing experience and preconceptions can create a "counterproductive force," hindering the absorption of new knowledge. One must let go of the self and maintain an empty cup mindset to embrace new knowledge. The prerequisite for learning new knowledge and acquiring genuine knowledge and practical skills is to face the true self. As the saying goes, "To know what you know and what you do not know, that is true knowledge." Learning begins with acknowledging what we do not know. "He who knows others is wise; he who knows himself is enlightened." Only by truly facing ourselves and realizing where we lack understanding can we embark on the path of learning.

II. Temper

After learning, one must temper oneself through practice to achieve "unity of knowledge and action." The ability to endure tempering is the core of growth. "In life, eight or nine out of ten things are not as we wish," which means that life is always full of challenges. Problems in work and life are opportunities to temper our talents. Only by constantly refining ourselves in reality can we achieve genuine knowledge and practical skills. The traditional Chinese iron forging technique, passed down for thousands of years, involves processes such as heating, forging, quenching, tempering, and grinding. The process of iron forging is also a process of applying what we have learned: heating corresponds to "learning and constantly practicing," continuous learning to gain energy; forging corresponds to "unity of knowledge and action," tempering knowledge through practice; quenching corresponds to "learning without thinking leads to confusion," reflecting calmly and summarizing experiences; tempering corresponds to "reviewing the old to understand the new," consolidating and generating new knowledge through review; grinding corresponds to "I examine myself three times a day," repeatedly correcting and perfecting oneself. Learning is a continuous improvement process of the PDCA cycle, from "learning and constantly practicing" to "unity of knowledge and action," then "learning without thinking leads to confusion, thinking without learning is dangerous," to "reviewing the old to understand the new," and finally "I examine myself three times a day." This is the cycle from learning to practice, to reflection and relearning, ultimately forming a continuous refinement like cutting, grinding, carving, and polishing.

III. Responsibility

The core of "true talent" is the ability to shoulder responsibilities and dare to take a stand. The knowledge we learn must be applicable and capable of bearing responsibilities. We must apply what we have learned and not leave it unused. The results of learning should be reflected in actual responsibility and capability improvement. Ultimately, all of our efforts must return to the motto of Qihang Academy, "Improve oneself and influence others." Our goal is to become influential individuals, not only growing ourselves but also influencing and motivating others in our daily work, setting an example for others.
