To put it more popularly, “those who make money should serve those who pay money, and those who spend money should serve those who make money”. Who pay the money? It's customer. Only when customers place orders with us can the enterprise have income, profit and sustainable development. Who makes money? They are sales and production team. Only when the sales team receives more orders from customers can we ensure the sales performance of the enterprise. Only when the production department continuously creates output can the products needed by customers be delivered to customers and converted into cash flow. In recent years, in order to let the business team concentrate on developing the market and serving customers, and let the production units concentrate on improving human efficiency and creating output, the company has continuously improved the organizational structure and established some surrounding departments, including finance department, engineering department, quality assurance department, quality control department, human Resources Department, logistics department, Qi Hang college, information department, Standards Office and general manager's office. From a certain point of view, these surrounding departments are spending departments, which can’t directly create output. The responsibilities entrusted to them by the company include both service functions and supervision responsibilities. However, in terms of actual functions, most of the work of surrounding departments is to supervise the production units to do things as required through inspection, notification, punishment and other means. However, it has not been brought into full play in terms of service functions. In daily operation, it often occurs because some necessary resources for production cannot be supplied in time, affecting the output. If the service awareness of the surrounding departments cannot be improved, the work of the surrounding departments will be disoriented and the original intention of the company to establish this department will be forgotten, resulting involution. The production staff often go to the warehouse to sort out the materials, and the supporting staff often need help a few years ago. Recently, it often happens that the production line administrator runs back and forth to the laboratory for inspection, the production workshop helps the warehouse manage the molds, the finished product workshop administrator accompanies the customers to inspect the goods, the workshop arranges personnel to set up points outside to help human resources recruitment, the workshop administrator contacts the manufacturer to repair the machines, and the workshop personnel move goods to the finished product warehouse, etc. The above phenomena are not the job responsibilities defined by the company for the production workshop. In fact, they are helping the surrounding departments. On the other hand, the surrounding departments did not play their due functions, had no sense of service, and did not achieve “everything for production”. The production department is the army on the front line, and the logistics service work should be handed over to the logistics support department. If the commanders on the battlefront leave the battlefield, how can they command the army? How to attack the city and pull out the stronghold? How to ensure victory? “All for production” is not a slogan. It requires the personnel of surrounding departments to recognize their role, understand the real meaning of “all for production” proposed by the company from the bottom of their hearts, and practice this concept with practical actions.
The production department should dare to make demands
The production department has the responsibility to create more output and implement according to the company's system. It also has the obligation to make requirements to the surrounding departments. If there is no requirement, there will be no service. The services of surrounding departments include: supporting materials, dies and fixtures of the logistics department; Personnel supplement of the human resources department, water and electricity guarantee, purchase, repair and maintenance of machinery and equipment, etc. Provide drawings, orders, sealing plates, test results and other data of the quality assurance department; Planning and formulation of human efficiency standards, process parameters and process flow of the engineering department, Personnel training of sailing College. In recent years, in order to strengthen production execution, the company has asked the surrounding departments to organize some inspections on the production units, such as 6S activity inspection, employee work discipline inspection, exception handling inspection, financial inventory and visual management inspection, process inspection, etc. It can be said that the surrounding departments dominate the implementation of supervision and inspection. Due to some deviations in the early implementation of the production unit, some responsible persons of some audited units were deducted, some were criticized, and even some production cadres were notified of administrative sanctions. The management cadres of some production units are afraid that the surrounding departments will wear small shoes for themselves. They dare not make requirements for the surrounding departments with inspection power. They have the mentality that one thing is better than one thing less. As the production department is the object of service, we should change our thinking, dare to ask and give poor comments to the surrounding departments, timely feed back the problems affecting production and output, and require the surrounding departments to give improvement measures and results within a time limit.
